Ston – a small town on Peljesac, located at the very beginnig of Pelješac peninsula, near the point where Peninsula meets the Mainland. It has about 2500 inhabitants. The town was a military fort of the Ragusan (Dubrovnik) Republic whose defensive walls are a notable feature of this town’s medieval architecture.
