Oskorusno

Oskorušno – a small village at Peljesac Peninsula is among the most significant Croatian wine growing area and one of the most picturesque landscapes of southern Dalmatia with some of many wine cellars in Peljesac. It is a village on about 1,30 hrs drive from Dubrovnik worth visiting if you can make it. The village is located in the interior of the central part of the Peninsula, about 10 km northwest of Janjina, along the local road that passes through the peninsula.

A panorama of the village with vineyards and two small churches in the background – St Nikola’s Church (Crkva sv. Nikole) is the one on the top of the hill and St Catherine’s Church (Crkva Sv. Katarine) is the one in the village. You can see both churches in these photos.

This short video clip I took on my recent visit to the village. It shows the valley with vineyards and cluster of houses just on the edge of hills.
